The paintings in this series are my emotional response to operatic music that deeply resonates with me and which I performed as a professional classical singer.
This painting is my response to the Contessa’s aria, ‘Porgi amor,’ from Mozart’s opera, Le Nozze di Figaro.
The otherworldly landscape of cooling blues and fractured light is a visual meditation on the fragile threshold between hope and heartbreak, where the beauty of the music meets the depth of a wounded heart.
