This painting is my response to Tosca’s aria, ‘Vissi d’arte,’ from Puccini’s opera, Tosca.
The deep blues of sorrow collide with the burning reds of a life lived for art and love, capturing Tosca’s final, luminous plea: a radiant ascent of white light emerging from a heart-wrenching struggle between faith and fate.
